Christopher Breuleux, PhD
Christopher Breuleux has become known as both a pioneer
and innovator in the wellness, health promotion and medical fitness profession.
With over thirty years of experience in the health care and wellness disciplines,
Dr. Breuleux has earned an outstanding international reputation by providing
services to over 200 hospitals, corporations, clubs and resorts. Dr. Breuleux
has successfully developed a wide range of health and wellness programs from
rural hospital systems to Fortune 50 corporations. While designing some of the
initial wellness programs for Procter and Gamble, GE, Ford and Memorial and
Bethesda Hospitals, he led the development for their respective award winning
wellness facilities.
Dr. Breuleux is the first President and Chairman of the Medical Wellness Association.
He has served as an Executive and Vice President for both Health Fitness Corporation
and Memorial Hermann Health Care System. Dr. Breuleux was founder and President
of both Premier Health and Vivo Fitness, Inc. He has over ten years of experience
with two of the largest healthcare systems in the country and has developed
over 30 wellness facilities ranging in value from 1 to 22 million dollars in
scope. Dr. Breuleux was responsible for developing several award-winning wellness
facilities including the first joint partnerships between multiple hospital
systems and joint university-hospital medical wellness centers. As Vice President
of Health Fitness Corporation, he was responsible for national consulting, research
and development. He developed Preventive Health Systems for Bethesda Healthcare,
which created 16 corporate facility contracts, three commercial and four hospital-based
facilities.
Dr. Breuleux has both Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees from Miami University and a Ph.D. in corporate health and fitness management from The Ohio State University. He has held nine faculty positions at various colleges and universities with his last academic appointment being Department Chairman. His academic positions include the Ohio State University, University of Michigan, Tulane University, Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati. He was recently honored with the Miami University Outstanding Alumni Award. Dr. Breuleux is a certified YMCA Director and conducts both national and international wellness training programs. He has been awarded professional licensing and certification for Massage Therapy Registration. Dr. Breuleux is the founder of the Medical Wellness Association and has written numerous health and wellness publications.
